Port Dickson
Port
Dickson also known as ‘PD’ is a perennial attraction as a
beach-side relaxation area. This quiet coastal town
located just 32 km away from Seremban and 80 km away from
Kuala Lumpur.
Port
Dickson is synonymous with sun and fun on the beach. The
refreshing cool breeze blowing in from the Straits of
Malacca, the stretch of white sandy beaches protected by
rows upon rows of casuarinas palms, coconut trees and
elegant bayan trees which could be a great babymoon
gateway especially for those seeking away from the hot,
stifling cities, hustle and bustle of hectic and
stressful life.
Babymoon
couples need not to worry the accommodation and foods.
Food stalls, chalets, hotels and bungalows or even
privately owned apartments at reasonable rates could be
easily found along the beaches. There are few beaches you
could take into consideration as your babymoon vacation
whereby the quiet and peaceful beaches, broken only by
the sound of waves lapping the shore could relax and
peace your mind.

Blue
Lagoon The Blue Lagoon is a quiet and
peaceful beach and it is clean and the waters are nice
and warm. It is located at the 10th mile from Port
Dickson town. Sheltered by two capes, there are few
resorts and guest bungalows provide homely accommodation.
During the low tide, the seas water melts away and
reveals the hundreds of tunnels in the murky sand, which
is the home base for the crabs.
Bagan
Pinang The Bagan Pinang beach is a
popular and convenient location which just located
between 2nd – 4th miles to the town area. The large and
wide expanse of sand that stretches for a few kilometers
is a great place for babymoon couples strolling along
while enjoying the breezing from the sea. The beach is a
popular spot for fishing where you can see fishermen
casting their lines from rods or nets into the
waters.
Teluk
Kemang Teluk Kemang is Port Dickson’s
most popular beach which provide with all the facilities
such as shower bays, souvenir shops, and food. The beach
is covered with fine orange sand and dotted with plenty
of coconut and casuarinas trees. It is famous for water
sports such as jet skis, speed boat, canoes and banana
boat.
Telok
Pelandok Unlike other beaches, the waters
at Telok Pelandok are a little murky, and it is not made
of fine white sand, but harsh gravel and pebbles. Fishing
is the main attraction of Telok Pelandok where avid
anglers can fish the cod, cat fish and sting rays
here.
While the
beaches are Port Dickson’s main draw, the plenty of
historical and natural attractions will keep your eyes
occupied.
Fort
Lukut Fort Lukut is located north of Port
Dickson in Lukut town was built in 1826, and was used as
to safeguard the tin trade in the area during that era.
Climbing up a series of stairs is necessary; a park
appearance rather than a fort could be
impressed.

Museum
The Lukut Museum is located on the same grounds of Fort Lukut,
which looks like a nice wooden bungalow. The museum exhibits
from artifacts and relics relating to the tin mining industry
during the olden days of Lukut. You may understand more on the
historical aspect while viewing photos and models of tin mining
equipment displayed.
Military
Museum (Armed Forces)
The Armed Forces Museum is located at military bases and camps
area. The museum display those former combat vehicles,
artillery and planes. There is also a fighter jet plane, a
transport plane and a helicopter parked at the sides. It is a
good experience as we seldom have the opportunity to visit the
military base.
Don’t
forget to get some souvenirs and handicrafts that serve
as a remembrance of your visit to PD. These include
beach-themed T-shirts, traditional handbags, caps and
slippers woven from traditional material, recreational
items such as beach balls, boards and floats as well as a
wide array of toys, fabrics and kites.
