It is always safely for pregnant women to carry on her travel plan with air but do need to be aware of certain issues.

Early pregnancy complication - If you have early pregnancy complication such as spotting or high blood pressure, diabetes or having twins, it is advisable to check with your doctor before you make any plan bookings.

Consult your doctor - Always check with your doctor to confirm that you are healthy and safe to fly.

Travel insurance - Check with your travel agency or airlines about the travel insurance. To ensure it's valid for pregnancy, foreign travel when pregnant and covers a baby.

Airlines - Some airlines have strict restrictions and don't allow women who are more than 32 weeks pregnant with twins or 36 weeks or more to fly. Some of them might require your doctor's letter or approval for air travel.

Doctor's letter - It is advisable to bring along your doctor's letter certified that you are healthy and well and it's safe for you to fly. This is to avoid being challenged at the check-in desk and the stress of an altercation.

Babymoon travelling is always a relax trip and to enjoy your quality time with your partner before the arriving of your newborn. When you are on the plane, there are few things you can do to keep yourself safe and well.

Fluids - To prevent dehydration, drink plenty of water or juices. Don't hesitate to request from the cabin crews and tell them you are pregnant. But do avoid caffeine and alcohol since it's not good for you and your baby.

Fruits - You can pack some vitamin rich fresh fruits such as grapes, plums, orange or dried apricots with you and consume during the fly.

Avoid sitting for too long - Ask for an aisle seat when booking the tickets. It makes you easier to make moving and pregnant women should get up and walk about, or wiggle your feet and legs regularly at least for 15 minutes an hour.

Wear your seatbelt - While on the plane, always wear your seatbelts provided. It's actually more harmful if you not wear them at all and don't worry it could press against your stomach and harm your baby. Position the seat belt to strap it low on your abdomen and pelvis or seek the assistance from the cabin crews.

Travel sickness medication - Don't take any travel sickness medication by yourself without your doctor's permission. Some medicines are not suitable for use during pregnancy. Always get your doctor's approval when using any medicines during pregnancy.

Make yourself comfortable - Wear loose, comfortable clothing or you can also take an eye mask and ear plugs to make yourself more comfortable during the flight.

Shoes - Wear support hose and shoes with adjustable straps in case your feet swell.
